A busy and exciting week in LSC and ASC
13th Jun 2025
The children in the LSC and ASC classes have had a busy and exciting week filled with learning and fun. In Literacy, they explored engaging stories such as ‘The Boy Who Grew Dragon Wings’ and ‘What the Ladybird Heard at the Seaside’, discussing the storylines, making predictions, and discussing their favourite parts of the story. In Numeracy, they developed their understanding of time and were learning to tell the time to the hour, half past, quarter past, and quarter to. They were also exploring fractions through hands-on activities including cutting and sharing birthday cake!
In World Around Us, the theme ‘Down by the Sea’ sparked curiosity as the children studied the fascinating animals and creatures that live in and around the ocean. They even got to hold a real lobster shell kindly brought in by one of the pupils.
As an end-of-term treat, the LSC and ASC classes enjoyed a fantastic day out at Duffland, where they had a blast climbing through the soft play frame, bouncing on the bouncy castle, and zooming around on the bumper cars. We are incredibly proud of all the children for their excellent behaviour throughout the day, what a brilliant way to celebrate the end of term.
