🙏 Beginning of Year Mass 🙏
12th Sep 2025
As the new academic year begins, pupils from our P3 to P7 classes at Holy Trinity Primary School gathered in prayer and celebration for our Beginning of School Year Mass, led by Fr Boyle. The Mass was a joyful and reverent occasion, marking a fresh start filled with hope, learning, and faith.
The liturgy was enriched by pupil-led readings, prayers of the faithful and beautiful singing and music from pupils and staff alike, that lifted the spirits of all present.
Fr Boyle spoke to us about the recent canonisation of St Carlos Acutis on 7th September and encouraged everyone to take example from Carlos and walk through the year with kindness, courage and a heart open to faith.
In a special initiative this September, Holy Trinity will begin developing a Sacred Space within the school to honour St Carlos Acutis, known as the “Cyber Apostle of the Eucharist.” St Carlos inspires young people to live their faith with joy and authenticity. His deep devotion to the Eucharist and innovative use of technology to share the Gospel make him a powerful role model for our pupils in today’s digital age. This connection is especially meaningful for our school, following our recent success in the ICT Excellence Awards, as we continue to celebrate the positive impact of technology in both learning and faith formation.
The Sacred Space will serve as a quiet corner for reflection, prayer and inspiration. Pupils will be invited to contribute artwork, prayers, and reflections to enhance this special place and a place where we can pray the Prayer to St Carlos that we will be learning in class.
As we journey through the term ahead, we ask St Carlos Acutis to pray for our school community, that we may grow in faith, friendship, and love.
