π Primary 5 have had a fantastic first half-term! π

They’ve been busy completing lots of exciting Literacy tasks through their class novel, The Worst Witch π§βοΈ. The children have been developing their descriptive language by creating character profiles π€, exploring settings using their senses πππ, and writing in diary form π as they learn about the features of recounts. They also used their storyboards π¬ to animate the broomstick formation scene – a brilliant mix of creativity π¨, imagination π, and teamwork π€!
π’ In Numeracy, pupils have been focusing on number and place value π, extending their understanding through mental maths π§ β and problem-solving activities π§©. They explored the properties of 2D and 3D shapes π·πΆπ§, showing their learning by sorting and comparing using Carroll and Venn diagrams π.
πΏ As part of their World Around Us topic, “Powerful Plants and Roots”, the children have enjoyed outdoor learning π³ – investigating trees π², examining leaves π, bark π°, and seeds π± to identify different types, and showcasing their discoveries in a colourful Plant PowerPoint presentation π»πΌ.
π P5 have shown great enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork in all areas of learning.
