17th Oct 2025
They’ve been busy completing lots of exciting Literacy tasks through their class novel, The Worst Witch πŸ§™‍♀️. They also used their storyboards 🎬 to animate the broomstick formation scene – a brilliant mix of creativity 🎨, imagination πŸ’, and teamwork 🀝!
πŸ”’ In Numeracy, pupils have been focusing on number and place value πŸ”Ÿ, extending their understanding through mental maths πŸ§ βž• and problem-solving activities 🧩. They explored the properties of 2D and 3D shapes πŸ”·πŸ”ΆπŸ§Š, showing their learning by sorting and comparing using Carroll and Venn diagrams πŸ“Š.
🌿 As part of their World Around Us topic, “Powerful Plants and Roots”, the children have enjoyed outdoor learning 🌳 – investigating trees 🌲, examining leaves πŸƒ, bark 🌰, and seeds 🌱 to identify different types, and showcasing their discoveries in a colourful Plant PowerPoint presentation πŸ’»πŸŒΌ.
πŸ‘ P5 have shown great enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork in all areas of learning.
