Primary 4 have had a very busy start to the term!
We have been really busy in Numeracy. We are working hard to develop our Mental Maths skills and have been using practical resources and outdoor learning, including our fabulous new playground markings, to support our learning in partitioning hundreds, tens and units, identifying odd and even numbers, sorting using Carroll and Venn diagrams and measuring length in metres.
In Literacy we are thoroughly enjoying our class Novel Flat Stanley and have been using it to inspire our creative writing. We are also enjoying learning about explanation writing. We have been using ICT and AI to support our learning across all areas of the curriculum and we particularly enjoyed generating AI images of our friends and of our homes as part of our Houses and Homes topic.
We love our weekly Hurling sessions with Colm where we have been developing our skills in striking and we enjoy playing matches. A real highlight in P4 this term was when Mrs McGee’s class welcomed baby Lana and her mummy to the class as part of the Roots of Empathy programme. We can’t wait to watch her grow.
Well done on all your hard work so far boys and girls. We are so proud of you all!
