Our Eco Council led a fantastic Penguin Awareness Week, shining a spotlight on penguins and the impact of climate change on their icy habitats. Pupils explored the theme through painting, collage, recycled junk modelling, and even real‑ice role play. Across the week, classes created iMovie stop‑motion clips, designed Adobe awareness videos about saving energy in cold weather, and used iPads to research different penguin species. Children listened to activists discussing melting ice caps, used penguin-themed tasks in numeracy, enjoyed read‑aloud stories, and took part in some very lively penguin movement breaks. A joyful, creative, and meaningful week of learning in action! 🐧
